FileMaker Go for iPad and iPhone

The most exciting thing from FileMaker in years! Launched last night local time in the States, enquiries were coming in within hours and the phone has been running hot this morning. We’ve already got it, tested it and it is brilliant.

What’s it all about? In a nutshell, this really is the future of mobile computing. We can make your FileMaker solution run on an iPad or an iPhone. You can access your data in real-time from anywhere (with a mobile data plan) or anywhere on your premises (with a local wireless network).

Imagine the possibilities; managers can log in from home, or the hotel, or the beach to check on reports. Sales reps can log orders and check stock levels while they are in the meeting with the client. Waitresses can send an order to the kitchen while staying out on the floor caring for the clients. Warehouse staff can update stock levels in real-time without having to scurry to and from a computer. Service contractors can update calls and outcomes in real time.
